Baud rate 9600, no parity, 1 stop, 8 data bits. Command for version. The cable is crossed and 9 pin female.
When you select measure, Datalyse sets the meter to auto range and reads the chosen setting. When Prema receives a command from Datalyse, it switches to remote control (only the button Menu (local control) is active). This means that before you start a new measuring series, you have to press the Menu button on Prema and then on the desired function.

In practice the meter has somewhat less than 7½ digits. Frequencies are measured in integers and the meter truncates.
Prema has commands for sending data to the pc regularly but some of them do not work. For that reason Datalyse does not use them.
